ANOMALOUS SALT CIRCLES

I met a man named Art Dawson who had a very interesting story to tell me. His best friend was the head engineer for Morton Salt in the East Bay. Dawson told me about a photo he was in possession of that his friend had taken atop his own truck. It turned out the photo was not of the more commonly known crop circle but of a salt flat circle, maybe the only one in the world.

Anomalous circles have been discovered in grain, snow and dirt, but on a salt flat just might be a first. The Engineer got a call that something strange was discovered in one of the flats and to come take a look. Over 20 years milling experience and he had never seen anything like. This incident occurred one morning in Fremont, California close to the Dumbarton Bridge, on August 28, 1992.

This discovery appeared to the amazement of 50 crew and staff that had worked all night milling salt just a few hundred feet away, but none of them saw or heard anything during their shift. In the morning, when the sun rose, there were three concentric rings that were 28 feet across that were not there before. These marks left impressions nearly three inches deep. This salt is as hard as concrete; they could clearly see that the salt was pressed down not scraped out, the weight to create these marks by sheer pressure would have to equal that of a small high rise building.

By closely observing the photo, you can see where a 30-ton vehicle has driven over the circle with no damage to the circle at all. Giant earthmovers with tractor tread barely scratch the surface. After doing some research, Dawson discovered that on the same night, a 747 on approach to SFO spotted a strange anomalous light in that general vicinity. It was reported to the tower by both the pilot and co-pilot of the commercial aircraft.
